Give them until next Friday like they said, take their word for it. If it is a friend or family member and they have a pattern of borrowing and not paying on time then it would all depend on the situation, what the money was for and my relationship with that person and again knowing if it is a pattern of bad behaviour. I would know enough not to lend to someone who doesn't pay on time though. But I would give them until Friday and then after that break their legs. JK! : ) LOL

First of all, never let anyone borrow money from you in the first place. There is nothing wrong with saying "no!" Also, try saying it in a joking manner, such as, "(Laugh) I'm the wrong person to ask that, I'm broke!"

Anyway, point is, get your money back. What is there payday? You know you can ask them then. Also, try joking around and saying "When am I getting my $20 bucks back?" (but in a joking manner).

Also, what kind of person did you loan your money to? You might not get it back if he / she is a scumbag.

Wait till Friday if they don't have it by then tell them that one day in the near future you will come to collect, stare them down with a menacing stare, then draw you thumb across you neck and point at them. Walk away cheerfully.

I would wait to see if they give it to me. If it is not a really large amount I will just take the loss if I dont get it back.I will not loan to that person again if i dont get it back.

I'd say, "aight, thanks!" and wait until next friday so I can tell them to keep it. If I can afford to loan someone money, I usually don't expect it back. I don't loan money, I give it when someone NEEDS it.

Today is Friday.

just go ahead and say "don't worry about it" because I'm probably never going to see it anyway, and it saves both of us the trouble of worrying about it. If they go ahead and pay me back, that's fine, too.
