If you're a chef, I would suggest making a stop at the metropolitan areas. Aside from Manila where there are so many choices of good restaurants, also try Cebu and Davao for a taste of the South. I especially love Lighthouse and Kinamot sa Escario in Cebu for their local dishes. The Philippines has a lot of good Chinese restaurants along with Italian and other European restaurants.

It's worth a visit and experience those places for yourself. The food won't let you down, too. Especially fresh seafoods. If you befriend people at those places while you're on your trip you may even get to let them sample your cooking! It's always an adventure if you're up to it. You'll discover lots of new things and unforgettable experiences. I'm sure you might even like some Filipino foods such as dinuguan, balut, soup no. 5 and lots more!!!

go to other web sites, that one has no info. try www.philippine-travel.co.uk for a good info travel agent site. the guy is english and has been to every hotel on his books. if you're a chef, stay away from the local food, it's the only country in asia which has zero cuisine, tends to consist of fat, skin and bones with msg and sugar thrown in, but what do i know, i've only owned a french restaurant and a grill bar............

well there are many places in the philippines that are really nice! and the foods are great such as lechon and chicken adobo, but all things has negative characteristics! some places here are not so nice like cebu because there are many criminals there! but i know a very nice place for you just choose from this, bohol,baguio,boracay and palawan! trust me that places are nice! but never go to cebu!
