This is just a wild guess, but I'm betting you are not planning on building in the United States. If that is the case, you might want to post your question in the Yahoo Answers site appropriate to your country.

Good luck with your project.

Anyone can build a house if they have books with good instructions to follow. My sister did it and she's in her 50's. She had contractors take a look and they were amazed that she had such a solid structure. You definitely need the right tools and equipment to do it right though. I don't know what 6-7lakhs means, but a friend built a two bedroom, 30' x 40' house for $40,000 U.S. He had a contractor put in the septic and inspect the house at different stages during construction so it would be built to legal specifications. That way when he is ready to sell the buyer can get bank financing.

Shop around and find the best prices. I recently completed building a vacation home in upstate New York. It was a memorable experience, but shopping around I was able to save quite a bit of cash on raw materials. Plan on things taking a little longer, and budget for mistakes in material and workmanship. I learned alot about construction and about myself during the past 2 yrs.

Good luck and have fun!

WOW!! You are a brave soul. Do you have any building experience??? Do You have plans? Do You have friends to help?? for the entire job. and are you going to build it yourself or hire sub contractors? I don't know what
6-7lakhs Is????? So I don't know if it's possible.

Raw materials at best price depends on where you are and what building supply companies you have available.

GOOD LUCK.

first of all engage a good renowned engineer or architect he will guide you properly. by providing material yourself is best system of constructing your own house, it saves money and gives satisfaction even though some body say that labour will use more cement and other material but that's like 'ghee gira to apani hi khichadi me !'
