It was a movie from the 1980's with Kiefer Sutherland & Jami Gurtz & both the Coreys. The actors name was Chance Michael Corbitt. I already did a search but I can't find any info past that film. He was such a cute kid!

Actually I saw him last May- he was doing signings at Collectormania in Milton Keynes. His name is Chance Michael Corbitt- and he has been doing plenty of work since Lost Boys- unlike the othyer answer suggested.

In August Rush I'm pretty sure the mom played Cello not piano but I could be wrong. In this movie there were a bunch of homeless kids that did busking to make money. Robin Williams was kind of their musical pimp.

The last thing that this actor has done was acting as Peter Jelliffe in Marilyn Hotchkiss Ballroom Dancing & Charm School (2005). I guess he didn't quite make it in the acting business despite his cuteness.
