You can multiply matrices where the columns of A = the rows of B and vice versa.

Such as...A = (5, 7, 9),(2,5,3) and B = (3,1),(5,9),(2,1).


To be able to use addition, the rows & columns have to match up.

No. You can only add matrices of the same size. You can only multiply matrices if the number of columns in the first marix is equal to the number of rows in the second matrix.
