While it's true that some can learn to fly in the military, and earn there hours that way, if you are beyond a certain age, or for a variety of other reasons, the military may not be an option for you. I went through flight school personally and earned a private pilots license. My cost came to around $3000 and it took about 3 months. Beyond that, you'd still need training to earn IFR rating, and multi-engine ratings. In some cases, you could work for a small business who may own their own plane, and actually get paid to boost your hours before ultimately winding up flying for an airline or one of the big package express companies. You could also become a flight instructor, and in this way, you're helping others earn their license while you get paid, and get credit for hours flown as well. Good luck!

Hi,
U got to attain two course , first one PPl pvt pilot lic N then CPL commercial lic. Ucan do these course it might take abt 2 yrs or so to come out of this CPL . Very soon there is deccan aviation which is starting this service try this I am sure it will work. Cost would be around 5 to 10 lac depends where u wanna take it .
But when completed dont forget to give a lift to this stranger.

It is indeed costly yet rewarding.
For 4-5 years it cost around $35-40T!
WE need money and prayers for the success!
Some aspirants died on plane crash during school years.
