You take it to a garrage and tell them it is broken. They then fix it and charge you lots of money.

Battery can show 12+ volts and have such weak connections inside the batterey it won't start. Also if the battery is 4 years old or ever been run dry replace it. Battery tests are done under load. What does the volt meter do when the key is turned to start.

I would call your local auto repair shop. They are professionals who work on cars for a living so they would give you a pretty good answer as to what the problem is. They will also be able to tell you around how much it should cost so you know what to expect and know how much money you need saved up or whatever. I dont know much about cars, so I do this quite often LoL :) Good Luck

It is probably not your battery. The battery only starts the car, your alternator charges your battery. If it doesn't do anything when you turn the key, then your battery isn't being charged. it could be your starter as well. Take it to a mechanic.

My guess is that the cable connections at the battery are corroded inside the sheath. When you jump the vehicle, it increases the Amperage through the cables and overcomes the resistance caused by the corrosion. Either that or the cable connections are simply loose.
