in a way yes, but without Radio1, we wouldn't hear of most of this new music of which you speak anyway! (Swings and roundabouts my good friend!) ;-)

Radio 1 does far more for new music than the majority of commercial radio stations. Of course they repeat songs, all radio stations do. Try listening to a commercial station such as Galaxy - if the inane DJs or music don't do it, the constant adverts will soon bring you straight back to the goold old BBC!

It wouldn't matter if Radio didn't replay any song more than twice a day. They suck and the music they play sucks as well. I never listen to it. The only radio station I listen to is 94.7 which plays only classic rock and the bob and tom show in the mornings.

I'm glad somebody else has noticed! They have about four songs played on each show, and then on the next show they'll play the exact same four songs in circulation... it often goes on like this all day. Another thing about radio is in the morning when Chris Moyles talks over and mimics the songs... not funny.

All radio stations play the same song over and over. Radio is music for idiots with no attention spans.

Yeah, I used to switch stations to hear songs I liked over and over again but now they just stick to about 5 songs and play them all day, overkill on some songs and others die as they get no airtime!
