I no longer visit the happy place of my youth, it was a large yet flatish stone 1m x 1m x .5m, in my local woods, where i used to sit, and think, and sometimes sleep, when things at home were bad... it was for some reason, a very comforting rock, it was quite in the open, near a brook, which flowed with rainfall. My current happy place, has recently chnaged, with the moving of a family, which i have come to lok upon as my own, and i was quite peacefull in the sea there, though it could have been less rocky, and salty, to be perfect.

My happy place is an imaginary house on mountain cliffs overlooking an ocean. I can smell the mingled fragrances of pine trees and ocean air. I can sit by the fire with my mug of hot chocolate when it is cold. I can stand on the deck and feel the cooling breeze when it is warm. Then I take a deep breath, close my eyes and open them again to reenter my real world. Some days, though, like that elusive land in C. S. Lewis' "wardrobe" it doesn't come, but some days it does and makes all the difference.

My happy place is anywhere away from aggravation from others! The shore sounds about right! I love the sand and watching the waves in the ocean come up and hit the rocks. It's peaceful and so tranquil. That's my happy place.

Unless you were meaning something else! In that case my happy place is you know where! LOL!

Painting, sketching while having the smell and view of the ocean (looking up at the view during intervals and dreaming, thinking, getting perspective of my past- my future) sipping on a good glass of shiraz with Demis Rousos singing in the back ground.

I love to escape the "madness" of everyday by spending time in the woods with a meadow nearby and watch and listen to the peace and serenity of a gray squirrel gathering acorns or a deer walking by munching Aster flowers.

Getting close to nature is my happy place.

In my car with the windows down and the sunroof open driving on some old back country road where I have no cell phone service and there are no cars to be seen for miles. It's the best in the evenings when the sun is just starting to go down. It's quiet and peaceful and I have time to think.

My happy place? Cuddling in bed on Saturday morning with my husband and my kids. There's nothing better than being woken up by your kids.. to con them into sleeping a little longer.. with everyone together..

My happy place is snuggled in a fleece blanket watching a film and munching on a tub of Ben and Jerrys 'Phish food'. Pure bliss.
