I've been working at my job going on 3 years now. My problem is that the warehouse manager is an idiot. He is unprofessional, makes many mistakes and is always trying to hit on every woman that starts working here. The people out back tried to complain to my boss, but he is blind and doesn't want to believe or even listen to these people. He says they are jeolous and are trying to get him fired. I have proof of this guys stupidity and mistakes but don't have the courage to speak up to my boss. I tried last year and he thought I was on this jeolousy trip. He even went as far to post a sign in the lunchroom. Jeolousy kills. I like my job and what I do, but this is going to far. Everyday I feel mad, angry and lost due to the unfairness going on. Should I stay or should I go?

There has to be another person you can go to overhead of your boss. That is sexual harassment plain and simple. Get a petition from the other people that's tried to complain and told they were jealous. Besides who on earth would be jealous of such an "idiot"? So many people who love their jobs end up in unhappy situations. Perhaps hang in there for a while longer til you find something else if nothing else works out to your satisfaction. Maybe look into home based businesses where you can work from the comfort of your own home and actually bring in a significant income to replace what you're making now. You'd be surprised just how many folks are doing successfully in this endeavor. Robert Kiyosaki's "The Business School" (from his Rich Dad Poor Dad series) says it's the best way to get on the other side of the cash flow quadrant. I found a great one that I love at http://www.bedavis1.mywayout.net. Be sure to check them out with the BBB (better business bureau) for complaints, ratings, legitimacy, etc.
Good luck!

Stop covering up for the warehouse manager. When he makes mistakes, if you can't allow them to go through so he can get in trouble later, at least point them out to your boss. Keep a running tally (with documentation) of how much this bozo WOULD have cost the company if you had not intervened.
If your boss still doesn't want to do anything about him (maybe they were college frat brothers?), take your documentation to HIS boss. You just might end up getting fired, but you no longer like the place anyway, right?

If you are unhappy, find another job. It sounds like there is no way to make your situation change unless this guy quits or your boss gets replaced.
Have you tried getting EVERYONE together and talking to your boss at once? I know that's probably not very easy to accomplish, but that is the only thing I can think of besides going over your boss' head, which would most likely only cause MORE problems.
Is your boss related to this other employee?

I say leave... You spend your entire day working for a company- You devote your precious time and work hard for a company. You are an asset (at least it seems) and this guy is slacking off and getting preferential treatment. If the harrassment is ignored..and there isn't a higher boss you can talk to I say find another job, turn in your 2 weeks and when they ask why your leaving expain in full detail why you think this guy is being treated great when in reality he should be repremanded for his lack of performance and harrassment issues. I've worked placed like this before, I wasn't smart enough to turn in my 2 weeks notice and I regret it.

Is the guy married that hits on everyone? The following is a true story that happened where I worked about 30 years ago...long before sexual harrassment.
A married man was hitting on a very attractive lady, who had endureed enough of this guy's crap. One day in a meeting with about 25 people in attendence, she looked at him, and said "Yes, Tim, I will be happy to have sex with you. " I am sure he NEVER bothered her again.

Bad thing is that bad managers can survive forever.
But it also depends on how good & local the higher ups.
U could have yourself or others, do some of the complaining in secret to higher ups...they would eventually be forced to investigate... even if the bad mgr disputes it.

You have to deal effectively with everything, EXCEPT the part about hitting on every woman! Now there's a real problem. That you take to your state labor board (assuming you live in the USA).

Depends on whether you need your job. If the stupidity and mistakes bother you, then quit. The "hitting on every woman" part can be fixed if you are serious.

Sounds like you aren't really happy at your job. Start looking for a new one-it never hurts to see what else might be out there.
