I am looking for a first job, but I know that, when it comes to speaking about myself, I stutter. however, when it comes to written communication, I feel much more at ease.
I fear the interview process, because of this big communication problem. therefore, I turn to you for HEEEEEELP! please

Here's one tip that I found works well: Force yourself to talk S-L-O-W-L-Y. Don't feel pressured to blurt out an answer to every question immediately. Take a second, think about what you're going to say, and then speak at a rate that is about 1/2 to 2/3 your normal speaking speed. Not only will that give you time to think about what you're saying while you're saying it, it'll be easier on the listener -- most people talk way too fast.

Practice in front of a mirror. Get your family or friends or a teacher to do "pretend" interviews. Practice.

Is there a speech teacher at your school?

Fear only makes things worse and everyone else interviewing is in the same boat you are. If it's your first job, they won't be looking for rocket scientists, just friendly smiling people.

Take a speech givers / toastmasters class - believe it or not they do exist.

Have a friend or family member give you a pretend interview

My personal favourite is to practice talking in front of the mirror because you can see what type of facial expressions you are making as well. First impressions mean everything.

GOOD LUCK.....and RELAXXXXXXXX!

There are speech classes that you can take, like Toastmasters which helps with public speaking. They do different public speaking exercises to help you feel comfortable speaking in front of people.
