very normal, its to insure that there is no tissue left that could cause an infection and that your uterus is normal again. it a pretty traumatic thing as you well know not only emotionally but physically. some times it takes a little time for your body to return to normal so don't worry about your period starting right away. trust the doctor, that's why they are looking to make sure you're healthy and everything is fine.

It is perfectly normal. The doctors will make sure that nothing has been left behind that could cause an infection and check out your general health. My periods werent normal after my miscarriage so dont worry, you may find your next one may be a little heavier and painful than usual but this is normal also, your body will take a while to get back into a usual routine. I am sorry about your baby x

When I had my miscarriage, they had to do a D&C because I almost died (bled too much). My gyno did not do a pelvic exam at that time though. If you didn't have a D&C, then he probably will have to do a pelvic. My periods weren't normal after the miscarriage. I have had one child since then and they still aren't normal (5 yrs ago). Hope everything is okay. Good luck!

Don't worry. It's a post op visit. The fact that you haven't had a period maybe normal too. Your hormones are still not back to normal. You must have had major bleeding after the D and C and sometimes that becomes your new period and you'll have another soon (you may have missed one in between) You'll be fine, just tell your doctor EVERYTHING and keep him/her posted as to any changes. write down your concerns and questions before you go. It's easy to get flustered and forget until you leave.
Good luck to you. I know how you feel, but it'll will be alright. You'll see.

having an exam after a birth or miscarriage is very normal. as for the period, your body is going through hormonal changes and you may not get your period for a little while. don't worry unless you get excessive bleeding or bad cramping. make sure you write your concerns down and bring them with you when you go to the dr.s or else you may forget to ask.

You have to go for a D & C or a 'scrape', its perfectly normal its to make sure all of the membrane has gone and you are not at risk of infection.

The lack of period is normal, its your hormones and will return as normal soon, it can also be caused by stress or upset.

I'm sorry to hear about your loss

Yes, it should be a standard follow up examination. Talk to your doctor about your worries about not having a period. Good luck and I am sorry for your loss.

Yes, it should be a normal pelvic exam.
However, it may lead to an ultrasound, or something more such as a D & C... so be ready if you hear that that has to happen.
