I have read all of Heinlein, Clarke, Asimov, Herbert (both father and son), and Niven. Thats a good sample of my tastes, what do you reccomend?

Leo Frankowski's "Crosstime Engineer" series made me laugh out loud even the 6th time I read it.

Neil Stephenson's "The Diamond Age" and "Snow Crash" are filled with interesting new ideas. In 30 years Stephenson may be regarded with the same respect as the authors you list.

David Brin's Uplift novels and almost anything by Greg Bear

Enjoy your reading.

Hey there !

If you would like something challenging try Barefoot in the head by Brian Aldis

Something more recent - A Second chance at Eden by Peter F Hamilton (Short Stories)

If you like short stories try some of the Ray Bradbury collections or The Martian Chronicles.

If you want to be surprised (and I mean surprised) read this by H P Lovecraft http://www.dagonbytes.com/thelibrary/lovecraft/theshadowoverinnsmouth.htm

Happy Reading !
