we'll never have to worry about that, because he does exist.

I really don't think the lives of humans would change at all. Those who believed in some form of religion would simply continue living the same way they did because they have done it for years and years (as the saying goes... old habits die hard). Those who never did believe in anything would also keep with the way they've been living, except possibly to occasionally rub it into the faces of those who did believe.

The only way to make human lives change drastically is to deny them the "luxuries" of life (electricity, plumbing, communication, transportation, etc). If the world went into another "world war" and most of the major cities destroyed, humanity would eventually wind up reverting back to their "feudal" nature, or at least back to the age of farming and horse drawn carriages.

Removing religion alone would not cause any major changes.

Atheists would live normally, but Christians would start raping and killing because they have no reason to behave anymore.

I don't really believe that, but there's a certain type of Christian around these parts who insist that God is the only thing keeping people from stealing, killing, etc. And I think to myself - what is WRONG with these people?

zhimbo has pointed out an interesting effect... the vast majority of mankind would loose something central in their lives, and in their views.

the effects cannot be overestimated... i hardly dare thinking what would happen to mankind at large.

but cheer up... its not going to happen. people will sooner cut their own eyes out than see proof of that kind... besides, it is logically impossible to proove the non-existence of something.

thank god. clever bastard

It wouldn't change my life, personally. I would continue to live a christian-based lifestyle.

As a whole, I believe that there would be more evil & destruction in the world, especially for the people who at one point believed in Him and were holding back due to the the punishments He set in place.

Those who believe in god can never have their minds changed. Those who do not could be changed if they could look through a telescope and see him sitting on his throne.
