No girl, your not getting old! Like everyone else said your maturing. It looks like to me that your tired of messing around and you want a serious relationship. I hope you find the right girl that will make your life complete, wish you luck!

It's difficult for me to remember back then . It's been 50 years since I was 26. However I do know that by the late 20s a person usuall starts to have the desire to become more settled as well as show more concern for their future.
Believe me - it's not old age! I think they call it maturity, so don't be afraid of it.

I am in the same boat. I am also 26 and my boyfriend is in his 40's (he says that's old.) I just bought a house with him 2 years ago and I felt like that was the only big step I took in my life. It was an accomplishment that I suggest doing and now, I feel like I can do more than that. It's a maturity thing and comes with time and experience!

Needless to say My friend...I am 23 (going on 24 soon) and I have had that "want and desire" since I was 18. It has absolutely NOTHING to do with age (as the number) but of maturity that people tend to reach either at an early age or as they find their own clear paths with experience and what not. I have seen people that are 40 and still do not know what they want, and seen 18 year olds that have 401k and other things for the future! In truth, it is just that YOU have reached that level of maturity of knowing what you want, and when you want them. You have expectations and you see them in your future (like a good wife, a home, a dog, etc). Your behavior is not wrong at all...on the contrary, this is when it gets better.

Best of Luck, mate!

My cousins had a child and settled down at that age, and he still rides a motorcycle sometimes and can stay up partying and drinking with the best. Just do what's comfortable for you. I have always primarily thought about long-term relationships and settling down somewhere nice, and I'm only 20! No, you aren't getting old.

No you are not gettin gold, you are just growing up. My partner and I , me being 27 and she is 19....a little younger than most to experience these feelings, we discuss the long term and what we want from each other and how we are going to go about it, I am going to be going back to school and they are very happy with their career, it's an awesome feeling to have that, a feeling of being complete, good luck to you and by the way don't go looking for love, it will find you when you least expect it ok!!

(I'm 23 and my gf is 25. she says similar thing like you.) you've had some fun and now starting to think future, buying a house is another step, right? If you feel right for the idea of finding the right woman, that's no getting old, it's a part of your life, enjoy.

That's about what I did when I was 28... it's been 13 years of settled life. It's not bad at all. Go for it.

If you think 26 is old then 40 must be ancient to you
