Yes it needs a gentle tap on the lateral communication port. Simply throw the device at the nearest wall...the device may initially break into smaller pieces..do not worry, as you will feel better, and vented some anger ! Now buy a new mobile with easier transfer capabilities such as a ssony ericson w810i, and your laughing !

when you plug the phone in click the little bubble that pops up in the bottom right corner, then go into the set up where it says
automatic (recommended)
manual - (cant remember what it says here but you know)
Use the manual option and tick to run from the CD.
That should work.

same thing happened to my motorokr e1, but try changing the usb port where the cable is plugged, it worked for me, if not, try reinstalling Mobile Phone Tools

Have you installed the CD software for your phone on to your PC this usually works.

have you tried just emailing the sounds/pics to your adress? Tmobile has a album that whenever you take a pic, it gives you the option to send it to yourself. After you send it, just save it to your computer
