Its not actually genes that is in deficiency here.DNA has no great influence on character upbringing matters and how discipline.Children are born with brains as empty as a photograph film.It is usually called" tabular rasack" by physcologist,as they grow they then to grab anything that comes to their senses and those years attitudes sticks. That's the reason parents are expected in the growing age of their children to incolcate in them good behavorial pattern and discipline them, teach them right from wrongs.
Most parents a blamed for the terrible attitude of some kids for they tend to over pamper some in the case favorite kids.the less pampered ones turn out to be more interligent and stronger and hardworking as means of trying to prove their parents wrong or trying to buy attention. The pampered ones end up been lazy and dull.
Another way of seeing the case of different mentality is that every person is a different and unique person created by God for different purposes and have potential in different areas of life. The dull one could be the funniest and brighten up even Saddams mood where the bright one can get Saddam angry when he sees His Bank Balance.
Really we are all of differnt identity even as Twins

Each child inherits a certain number of genes from each parent- not all of them- and each child gets a different combination of genes from each parent- except for identical twins. That means each child has a different script written by "nature". Then each child may have a slightly or not so slightly different experience in the world. Different teachers, different experiences with learning, etc. And so they may develop intelligence differently based upon these different experiences and educational opportunities.

If you are just looking at a smart or a dumb person, most of that can be attributed to the genes and the way they were raised.
If you are talking about the persons character; that is determined before they are born into this world and can be influenced by the way they are raised, but it is ultimately the individuals decision to be good or bad.

Two siblings are not genetically identical. The difference is half the difference between two random persons.

That's the main reason. There's very little evidence for non-genitical factors contributing to inteligence and personanility. I know that conventional wisdom says that childraising is an important factor. But that's just conventional wisdom, not science.

It starts with genes...
Not every child inherits the same genes...
Plus, environmental factors & experiences play a roll in ones character.

You really don't inherit a "character"... that is self defined.
As Popeye said... "I yam who I yam".
And, that is what should be important to a parent.

Same reason as why they do not have the same finger prints; human genes are designed to make individuals when reproducing, not clones. Reproduction by cell division creates clones.

One child may have more genes from one parent than the other.

Its ok. you could inbreed for approximately 2 generations. They wont have any defects. I do it each and all the time. you merely do not pick to reproduce finished brother to finished sister. Animals don't have the comparable genetic issues that we've.

because personality is not 100% nature.. nurture plays an equally large part.. also no 2 children are 100% alike.. even identical twins will have some sort of differences..
