Help him in the water so he can keep covered up then he can bath himself then give you a call he can cover up and you can help him out of the water.

I don't see that as an issue. I have a simple solution. Why not take a garbage sack and tie it around the stop of his broken leg and let him shower alone. Of course when I broke my leg when I was 13, I dangled it over the tub ledge. I didn't get it wet either. I think that it would be a simpler solution than bathing your son. You obiviously feel uncomfortable about it or you wouldn't have asked.

It's only his leg that's broken ... he just has to cover the plaster with something like a dustbin bag so the water doesn't get at it and he can bath himself!

I reckon there might be a hidden agenda here ... does mother tend to her sons other needs too?

I know she used to put powder on it, but that was a long time ago! Could you ask for advice from the medical staff? I imagine he should probably try to manage either by himself, with just help getting in and out of the bath, or with the help of his dad or a brother, if not his girlfriend.

Lord have mercy.

If he can't have any type of tub bath or shower then give him the materials so that he can give himself a bed bath. Even bathing with baby wipes would be better than having my mom bathe me. And, frankly, I would rather stink than allow either of my parents to bathe me at this age.

you are both consenting adults I do not see why you can't as long as he is ok with it, your his mother you changed his diaper, my borther was stabbed in the back with a 7 inch knife, when he got out of the hospital, he came to live with my mom, and when it was time to help him into the bath sometimes my brother was a little embarrased so he would wear his boxers in the bath, I mean everyone needs to bath every second day, and again like my mom said to me it may be embarrasing to both but like she said to me, he is her son and she loves him dearly and would do anything to help him, after all she gave birth to him and raised him to who he is now, as long as you both are comfortable with it, who cares if you do or don't, besides I rather my mom even though I am female but if I was a guy I would let my mom bath me but I would also wear boxers or even shorts and then ask my mom to turn her back when I have to wash down there, my brother did, and now that he is all better he has more respect for my mom now then when he was growing up, besides its cheapper for mom to do it then have some strange nurse come in and do it for you.

I would say of course, but then again...really not sure. Are you close with your son? If you are then it's just a mother taking good care of her son. But at the same time, it sounds a bit creepy to be perfectly honest. He should really be washing himself unless his whole body is in a cast and he doesn't have the use of his hands! Sorry, but have to be honest with you.

As long as he is covered in the right areas.. if he was fully nude then I, personally would have a issue with it.

I don't think so. I wouldn't, it's just not "right".
There's ways he can take a shower/bath without getting his cast wet...saran wrap and duct tape and stick the leg outside of the tub or shower, or he can wash himself with a sponge in the basin.

Are his arms broken too? If there isn't a male available to assist with exiting and entering the shower and or bath then there isn't anything wrong with her helping you to get in and out but as for washing you that's weird and borderline incest.
