I used to be like that. I discovered I was a people pleaser. I would give and give and get nothing in return. I had alterior motives. When I would do something for someone I expected them to like me, love me or give me something in return. In relationships I would give my all! I learned not to put so much out there. I also learned that when I did things expecting nothing in return I felt good.

Sometimes. I'll offer to help others, or give all the help they ask for, but I feel guilty asking for help or favors from others. For example, I hear my husband complaining about how his first wife tried to control him all the time, so I give in when he wants something, because I don't want him to think I'm like her.

I feel that way a lot, but if everyone would just try to give more of themselves then people would not feel that way at all. Some people are just real self centered and they dont even notice it.

Sometimes I feel it too.
But it is never too late for a change.
If I only GIVE in a relationship and the
other person TAKES, something is wrong.
Something stinks!!!
