Yes, and the FINES are very high... The wildlife org. could maybe get another animal and rebuild the population back up....I know how easy it is to love animals ...But, it is better to give it a real chance at life. To be with its own kind...Then you know in your heart you did all you could in every way to help save it...Thanks

Yes, i fact it is very illegal! For someone to ever try to save baby rabbits is wrong. Its very rare that the DNR would find it, but there always the possibility of someone telling them that you have an endangered or extinict! Now, you saying you have an endangered/extinict thats even worse to have, they could fine you a large amount of money! If you do I would report it to the DNR or contact someone to come and get the animal, before its to late! Good Luck!

I am totally opposed to an individual having an exotic pet, rather endangered or not! Most people tire of their wild critters and end up abusing them.

Further, it is illegal in this country to have an endangered animal in captivity, unless properly licensed. In fact, it is illegal in most states to even touch an endangered animal, rather foreign or domestic.

You said it yourself: WILD ANIMAL! You can have them and raise them and be able to hand feed them and cuddle them BUT they are wild animals and they CAN and WILL turn on you! Its not good to keep a wild animal locked up in a cage- they should have their freedom to run and roam. They may not mate and pro create in a captive situation either and if they are endangered dont we want them to procreate?

yes unless the animal that is being kept as a pet can't live in the wild due to an injury or something of that nature.

Even 'domesticated' animals were once untamed and wild, and they revert that way outside of human care.

If you can properly take care of and meet the needs of a wild animal such as a tiger, and ensure the safety of those around you, then go for it.

I would say it's very wrong. Wild animals, especially endangered ones, belong in their natural habitat. They're not domesticated and can be dangerous to their handlers.
