We watch a lot of documentaries and it seems that most of the narrators are male. I can understand a historical documentary about the wild west or a war needing to be male but there are so many subjects that are gender neutral (such as nature programs) that it shouldn't be important to have a male voice attached to it. I usually do not hear a female narrator unless it is a woman's issue.

It's all about who can get producers and backing for the shows. The media is still very much a male dominated medium. Women have to work harder because we traditionally are the care takers of our homes as well.

stable question... I watched the teach "The X-documents" for an prolonged time and that that they had countless episodes the place the two Mulder (David Duchovny) or Scully (Gillian Anderson) did some narrating. I remember liking Mulder's narration lots extra appropriate. i latterly watched "Kiss Kiss Bang Bang", wherein Robert Downey Jr is the narrator, and enjoyed it. So i will't rather clarify it, yet I like it while adult men narrate.

Maybe because men are more willing to listen to another man, than a woman, but women will listen to either?
