It may not suck anythig.
If vacuum of the surrounding are is more powerful than vacuum of vacuum cleaner then the dirt that it has gathered previously may be thrown out. Or your vacuum cleaner may just BLAST.
So to avoid such blasts please do not do such experiments.
It is not advisable.

nothing - the engine would just turn the suction motor - in a vaccum there is not matter to make the "sucking" happen, so its just a moving machine.

The motor would spin, but it would have no air to act on. I suppose the canister would spin in the opposite direction from the rotor, if you were in orbit.
