That is the dumbest thing I've ever heard honey. My girlfriend is Brazilian with Arabic Feature as you put it etc. and we live in european country without a single problem, as thankfully majority of people (unlike you) are more intelligent than generalising and counting the whole millions and millions of people as terrorists, majority of people will take you on your own merit, but to assume that all Arabs are terrorist as the big thick headed creep of a Mr Bush and the like have been trying to feed idiots, seem to have been successful in a way seeing your points of views. My suggestion honey is that you stay where you are if you FEAR so much about your feature, but that is your problem and not European or Arabs.

No, don't be fearful. Why should terrorists stop you travelling?
I hope you enjoy your travels and meet many pleasant people.

You should arrive early at airports, to allow for delays while people are checked in.

You might meet some rude people at airports, who don't treat you politely, or in a friendly way, or who delay you while they search your luggage. You might find that they will take away a few personal items like a nail-clippers or scissors, or you might be told in a rude way to take your shoes off to walk through a scanner.

Just remember that lots of Americans and Europeans have to put up with this as well. It's not a warm welcome, and it seems impersonal, and rude, but it's not aimed at you, it is only that the airport police see so many strangers and are constantly being told to add new rules.

The best way to handle this is to accept that they have the right to do this, and that this is how they are trained, and that you decide to go along with it to avoid holding up the queue for other people. I hope it doesn't put you off visiting : )

This "War on Terror" thing has gotten insane. Like the other guy said, good people can identify each other. However, it seems people would prefer to act like ignorant children and indulge play fantasies about being victimized by, or heroically triumphing over, a "terrorist." Its sick and stupid. If you have to leave your country because of work, go ahead, but I would not take an international vacation until the new year at least. Until the American elections are settled and Christmas is over.

You worrying because of the de Menzes killing?
Somebody(ies) screwed up big time then.
I'm sure it will not happen again, please do not be afraid to visit our shores. We are generally decent folk who will look after our visitors.
But, do remember that these are difficult times around the world and we need to be extra vigilant and careful in what we do, everywhere! Do exactly what ever a member of security tells you to do, IMMEDIATELY!
I wish you well on your visit, just be careful.

Just keep that passport close by. Be friendly and not stand offish. Good people can identify other good people. Just don't hold it against those too stupid to see past your features.
