What is the current status/progress achieved in research in compression/storage of hydrogen, (fuel cell technology )for use in hydrogen powered cars ? How many more years will it take for hydrogen powered cars to flood the world markets to make the fossil fuels to go in the world museums ? Hydrogen thru electrolyser produces electricity to drive cars, releasing oxygen in the atmosphere. There is no carbon di oxide emission as in the present fossil fuels used in automobiles. Let more cooperative research (on the basis of YOGA Model - UPAYOGA, UDYOGA, VINIYOGA AND SAHAYOGA IN HYDROGEN RESEARCH FOR use in automobiles/production of electricity) be undertaken simultaneously by public / private research institutions all over the world, to save the future generations free from greenhouse emissions and its attendant negative impact on the atmosphere.

Hydrogen fuelled cars have the advantage that it has no pollutant as emission, but the problem is of storage of enough hydrogen. Experiments are being conducted if enough hydrogen can be stored in adsorbed/absorbed state and released slowly as desired. One method is to liquefy hydrogen at very low temperatures and store in insulated /cryogenic vessels, which do not require very high pressures. I understand the German car manufacturer Mercedes Benz have already brought out a working model. Only cost is a factor to reconcile.
