I LOVE sea life! Sea dragons, seahorses, spiny black sea urchins, hammerhead sharks, and moon jellyfish are among my most favorites!

I like octopuses. They are very smart. I had one in a tank and everything that entered the tank was eaten. For fish it reached out with one of the two tenticles below its eye and caught the fish with the tip of the tenticle. It would then "reel" in the fish playing like a fisherman until it wore out. When brine shrimp were put in the aquarium it would turn upside down with its tenticles out and suction cups extended like a flower. Whenever a shrimp hit a suction cup, it would be captured. The suctions cups would then hand it off to the next suction cup nearer the mouth until it was eaten. It could catch several shrimp at a time. What an amazing creature.

Seahorses are cool, because I hear that it's the only species where the father bears the children. I also find hammerhead sharks fascinating because of their unique head structure (obv), and I also think giant squids are pretty amazing as well. They're huge, carnivorous, and apparently battle it out with sperm whales. But only until recently have they managed to film footage of the creatures.

Great white sharks are amazing....did you know that the ones found off the coast of Africa actually breach like whales in pursuing seals?

Lionfish. They are dangerous but beautiful.
I used to have a pet lionfish, we thought he was normal. He wasn't.

He was almost white and had light tan stripes all over his body.
When his moods changed.. the stripes on his wings changed colors. The stripes would turn either green, blue, purple, or pink.
When he got mad, his whole body would turn bright red.

My lionfish would never sting me. He begged for food, and would come up to the top of the tank to eat a shrimp out of my hand.
He would swim over to the side of the tank by our dining room table while we were eating dinner, and he would wave his wings and beg for food. I waved at him, and he would wave back once again.

I loved that fish. I would pet him on the head (DO NOT TRY AT HOME, IT HURTS TO BE STUNG) and he never stung me one time.

Lionfish are the best marine animals. They are smarter than you think they are.

Cetaceans, particularly dolphins and orcas, since there is a good chance that they're as smart as humans, if not smarter.

the greenland shark. it lives in the coldest waters and doesn't need the use of its eyes, parasites end up taking over their eyes anyway, but they are awesome.
