I suppose from Sainsbury's point of view people are buying them.

Chocolate goes stale and you do not want to buy it too early. Unfortunately, much of the chocolate sold just before Christmas will have been stored some time. Look for a good long "sell by" date.

I hope you will buy fairtrade chocolates, which you can do at Sainsbury's if you look carefully. In particular, if you go for Green and Black's chocolates (which are nice) remember that their Maya Gold variety is fairtrade. Not all organic products are fairtrade.

Xmas, i dont celebrate, no cards, no gifts, no different to any other day. Let them fill the shelves with decorative tat, as long as the price is cheap. The thing i like most about xmas, is not owning a TV - yay, i dont get to watch countless hours of advertising, tuning me into some mindless robot.. Oh, im sure you read everything very carefully, but im a guy, guess, if you can make that mistake, is it possible, you can make others........

No, really nothing. XMAS SUCKS
It should be stopped, everyone should be made to throw there money into the flames, i would rather that, than let japan, taiwan, and china have it. I got a gift from china says little jhonny.... yay, this means, they can buy more american debt, i love them, what with supplying iran with nuclear material, its just great.

Yes and No, Harrods in London have there christmas selection on offer since the beginning of August!!! but on the other side Christmas should only be celebrated during the Christmas season,eg DECEMBER!it is only a money making game now.
But saying that we have bought all our Christmas cards and prezzies in January!! we are not tight but we have saved the money for Christmas day,eg The Turkey ,Pudding and the pressents.Merry Christmas to you all From Santa and Rudolph

Saw advent calendars this week in Morrisons too. Had to look twice to make sure that they were really what I thought they were. I think they should at least wait until the clocks change, so that it's a bit darker at nights and slightly more Christmas-y than at this time of the year, when this week, it's still sunny and 25 degrees!

Too early, if like me you buy them now they will be gone by this weekend, scoffed and new ones needing to be bought in there place, far too tempting to have in the house already, I need to get into the nice skirt I have just bought for myself for Christmas so I am staying well away from the Christmas goodies section for now.

Too early.....you will find it in between the back to school display and the Halloween displays or yes and the BBQ display. What a joke, and then when I go to buy the advent calenders a week before December all they have left are the Barbie ones!
