If you repress your true nature, you will repress yourself.
If you don't accept what you feel, if you fight it, refuse to admit it, or deny it, it will in fact prevent you from having a total life. You may also not be able to find inner peace.
Don't listen to religious propaganda; they will in fact help you to regress and repress your true self in favour of their vengeful god(s). It may improve your social life and standing, but your inner self would be a subconcious ghost.
Forced regressions like this are often the source of dementia and traumas, resulting in many psychological wounds in advancing life.
Cheers

Bromide.
Failing that, a simple acceptance of who YOU ARE always helps.
People who live their lives pretending to be something other than what they are, never find the peace within, my friend.
I assume you want this so as to be able to conform to a religious belief? Or is it for social acceptance? Either way, they are WRONG. Being yourself, WHOEVER that may be, will do nothing more than make you A REAL PERSON.
Best of luck. I wish you wisdom and sound judgment to make the choices for YOU and not for anyone else.

There is no way to remove personal traits given to you at birth. If you try, you will only cause mental anguish and harm. You need to accept who you are and move on with life. If people do not understsand then it is their loss of friendship based on their lack of understanding you. Not having them as friends is better for you if they cannot accept who you are.

there are two types of homosexuals-overt, actively engaging in gay sex; latent--knowing you are gay and not sexually acting upon it.
i question why you would want to rid yourself of homosexual inclinations. if that is the way you are, why not act upon it and enjoy the ability to experience phenominal pleasure. whether straight or gay, we are all driven by the desire to engage in sexual activity.
if it's a matter that you are embarrassed or ashamed of your gay thoughts and inclinations you might want to see a councelor or therapist to hlp you to accept who you are. why try to fix something that isn't broken? being homosexual is not a crime or reason to want to change who you are.
i have several friends who are gay. they live happy lifes together and accept their sexuality as a heterosexual accepts straight sex.
don't beat yourself up over your sexuality. accept it and begin taking an active role experiencing the pleasure that gay sex can provide you.

If you say WHY you want to get rid of it, an answer might be more forthcoming.
