I was thinking that because of the way my life has turned out at present, what would my life be like now if I had made a different decision then.
The decision I made in the past was instead of going into the army, I opted to go to bible school and just recently found out that it was a cult that I was sucked into! So I spent 33 years in it! I am free of it and picking up the pieces of my life. What's done is done and I am just going forward with my life.

The other thing is that I could have been a hair model.

What other path would you have taken if you had that choice to go back and do so.

The thing is, you never really know.

Suppose you had gone into the army. You may have been blown up or killed in some other nasty way.

If you had become a hair model, you could be rich and famous now, or your hair could have fallen out from all the stress and you'd be broke and sad.

Personally, I think that once you make a decision, you should live by it and if it turns out to be a poor decision, find a way to turn it into a positive one, there's always a way to do this, no matter how bad it was.

My only piece of advice to you is, do not dwell on what was, instead, concentrate on what will be. Before making any decision, take the time to fully comprehend what the results of your actions could be and carefully weigh the pro's and con's of each choice before making it. Spur of the moment choices are too often the ones that come back to haunt us later in life.

Best wishes for a bright future!

I'd have been a little more reasonable as far as being in love means and implies, I'm happily married but I think I should have wait a couple of years before I took that step (I don't regret the guy though, just how soon it was) so I could have gone to posgraduate school (I'm a professional on Finances & Foreign affairs). But I think things happen for a reason and I will eventually do it, you just can't go back in time, so you just have to live with the result of your decisions, good ones or bad.

everythin i did so far was conscious. some turned out to be extremely good while others disastrous. but at no oint have i taken a step without reason. so i would rather not change anythin at all. u r also forgettin that correctin that one step would not mean a better life, cos u do not know the chain of events that would follow through. they will not remain the same as has haened in the past. remember the movie... butterfly effect.

Of course I think we would all go back and change things if we could. Unfortunately we cannot so we make the best of what life has given us and try to make it a positive. I am happy for you that you are making the change now. It is so sad to hear people complain about their lives yet they do nothing to fix it. Good for you! : )

am certain there are many mortals who think this way if only but we can't change what we have done in the past. however we can change what we do from now on in our future actions with all of mankind. there are numberless mistakes i have made and would change a lot if i could. but then i realize i am the person i am now just like you are because of the experiences.

oh I'm sorry, that 's terrible that you had your life stolen from you like that.
i believe everything happens for a reason. it's nice to want to turn back time and do things differently but who knows, maybe if you decided to join the army you wouldn't still be alive. *just an example*
at least you're still somewhat young and can start living your life.
