I was thinking that because of the way my life has turned out at present, what would my life be like now if I had made a different decision then.
The decision I made in the past was instead of going into the army, I opted to go to bible school and just recently found out that it was a cult that I was sucked into! So I spent 33 years in it! I am free of it and picking up the pieces of my life. What's done is done and I am just going forward with my life.

The other thing is that I could have been a hair model.

What other path would you have taken if you had that choice to go back and do so.

I would not change anything because all the mistakes I made, all the bad times I had made me who I am today and I am very happy on how I turned out.

I got married at twenty and had finished having my three children by 26. While my husband and I still love each other very much, I'd go back and get some training in a career. I got married the year after high school and never went to college or university; not something I would recommend. I think you may be being a little hard on yourself. After all only hindsight is really 20/20

I would go back in time and go to dental school. I figured out when I was 25 or so that I was interested in dentistry, so I went to Dental Hygiene school instead. I LOVE what I do, but if i knew at 18 what I know now at 31, I would go to school to become a dentist.

I also would go back to the age of 18 and get more self esteem and not put up with a bunch of crap from a relationship I was in, and move on with life but then I thought that no one else would ever love me or I was deserving of being treated better...blah blah blah.

EDIT: send me a message.. I am curious as to what Bible College you went to. I had a similar background and thought that maybe we could compair notes?

Several years ago I was in the Air Force and I loved it. One night I made a decision to get in a car with a friend of mine who had had a couple of drinks. We got into a head on car crash that changed my life forever. I am now disabled and live in chronic pain. If I could go back I never would have gotten in the car. It's the one decision I would change. I've learned alot from that experience though so my best advise is to learn from your mistakes and know that they make you who you are today. You could help alot of people with your story. Don't look back look to the future & live each day to the fullest.

wow I like your attitude, it's all you can do and good luck!

how nice for me that you asked this today. Yesterday I said to my dad, "I wouldn't trade my life for 5 billion dollars". My life isn't perfect either but I am sure many would trade with me. and what ever happened in the past, it was what made me "Me".

My other path was instead of going to college so I could be "rich" is that I would have learned a trade like plumbing, or electrical or horrors, been a mechanic (like my dad). But girls weren't allowed to fix and mess around with stuff or cut the grass at our house. I was completely unsuited to work in a cubical and I think I would have been happier earlier in life if I had a job that offered some satisfaction through tangible results. But if I hadn't been in that icky cubical I wouldn't have met the love of my life.

All paths lead to learning.....never feel you should have made a different decision...all decisions are valid for without them you would not have had experience and knowlege.

Even with a plan one can made decisions they later regret but it's all good, young person. Fear not for you will end up in the Glory of Heaven regardless of your choices.

Well Done on going forward with your life! You experienced what you needed to experience, so don't look back and wonder "what if..." You now have a lovely new chance to do wonderful things, so go out and expand your mind!

Oh yeah, if I had it to do over again, I would have picked richer parents, lol!
