OK, we've had the issue of a "legal" holiday (i.e. day off from work) raised. But there are several holiday categories here listed that are also in that same "grey" area.

Ok, researched Eid. It's the ending of Ramadan when the slim crescent moon is first sighted again after its new phase (completely dark). It is the breaking of the fasting period and of all evil habits.

Halloween is the best! There needs to be a Halloween category.

yeah, same for Day of the Dead...in Mexico it's a 5 day event

give it time, the more hypocrisy we see from tradition churches like celebration Columbus Day and the attrocities he brought with a cross and holy men, disease and conquest, the sooner earth centered or Native religions will gain prominence

the idea death is a curse goes against the idea death is part of life of which we often don't wish to observe and we push it away out of sight, pay "pros" to keep us detached

some nations, All Hallowed Evening is fore All Saints Day followed by All Souls Day..

just so happens it's also a big pagan holy day, Sowain or Samhain

Halloween is not a legal holiday. Only the witches and we warlocks celebrate it.
