I tend to do both, some serious, because I genuinely want to know other peoples viewpoints, and some light hearted because I want to lift the mood.... but have just been criticised for it... should I stick to one or the other....

Yeah well... you hate me? On the strength of two questions that I answered of yours... very strong words for someone that you don't know..... I don't hate you.... I feel indifferent toward you, maybe I even pity you... but I don't hate you.

I try to ask serious questions for the most part. However the Answers that I give are not always serious answers. Sometimes you see dumb questions that are just begging for a stupid answer to them...

I find when I ask a serious question only about %30 of the answers I get are serious as well. Most people just want 2 points to further their rank which gets them absolutely nothing. Or they just want to spout off and say stupid stuff usually because they have no clue how to answer seriously.

The majority are light hearted but i have asked a few serious ones . . . . not many though. I think you should stick to asking both - who cares if you get criticised!!! There's always someone who aint happy. . .

Lately, I've asked nothing but sick humor questions, check me out! At first I didn't want to get reported so I only asked questions that I really needed an answer to. I'm also stingy with my points so I hate to see that minus 5 when I ask something.

I only ask serious questions and only give serious answers. I don't appreciate people earning points for answering rubbish.

Mine are also a mixture
It doesn't matter what you do in life, someone will always think they know better than you.
Stick to what you want to do
