Love is an emotional state that produces endorphins and chemical changes in the body. It's sort of a high.
The pain comes from the withdrawal. When reason and disappointment subdue the feeling of "love" and beat the heck out of it... it hurts.

first of all, is it real love?
some people just stick with other people for kicks. thats what i think, btw.
But there are really those who are willing to love you. as in love you. as in you are filthy sick horrid disgusting ugly stupid "WHATEVER!!! I LOVE YOU!!"
Man, that's really the kind we all want, right?
Anyway, relationships are never an easy thing. Yes, there will be some road blocks, but love will overall lead to a better experience.
I believe, It is better to have loved once, than to have not loved at all.
Don't worry. As humans, we all hurt each other, and love each other. You just gotta look at the positive things.

you meant double-edge sword.
because love just is. When you love someone and they did something out of the blue, it'll hurt you so much...because ...you just love them too much and you never expect for them to do that to you..
