Are people that narrow minded that they don't want to see another side of an argument or hear another point of view, and if so, then why post their question in the first place?

For instance, I disagreed with Yeah Well and she thought it appropriate to email me with a barrage of insults.......

The abuse doesn't bother me, god, they would have to be more important to me than they are to get under my skin...... I was just trying to determine the motivation behind some of it.

People, before you answer... see my answers to yeah well..... I've rechecked and I never offended her... just said what I did with my money was my business and not hers..... perhaps you will have a different view of it....

But Yeah Well, if it's all about point scoring then surely I would have earned your respect for not agreeing with you.....

Yeah Well. Good choice of name for a start, it immediately implies that the person is going to kick up a fuss anyway and that's what they're about!

What is the point of someone asking a question if they're going to disagree with other opinions? If the silly person doesn't want to know what anyone else thinks about something, why EVER bother to ask?

You should make your email address unavailable to people who check your profile. I've done this, so I'm free to offer my thoughts about any subject, but no one's going to be contacting me with abuse like that! People are pathetic sometimes. All the things they could be doing with their time but they choose to spend it emailing nastiness to someone they don't even know. That's just sad.

Oh and just for the record, I have checked out the question and your answer and I have to say, I'm with you all the way there, and you said nothing out of line to provoke that kind of reaction. I'm probably next on their list now for a nice, insulting email so what a shame they can't access my email address!

That is a terrible thing for someone to do to you, what makes that person think they have the right to do that, sounds like they have some sort of personal problem and reflecting their fears at you, we are all entitled to our opinions no matter who we are and if people find that offensive then why bother joining the ones of us on here that accept everyone for what they are, if they can't stand the heat then they should stay out of the kitchen, don't let it get to you, your a much better person than that and don't deserve the hassle.

Some people just can't take a joke. You have to ignore those people because they only want to be told what they want to hear. If you were rude, then you should expect rudeness. But if you just gave your answer to a question that asked your opinion then you did what you were supposed to do and the other person should get thicker skin or find another place for their questions. Of course, that's just my opinion. Take care.

I've had that too. On the first day I joined, some maniac calling herself Katty cat,or similar, sent me 2 emails calling me a whore, a b**ch and every other name she could'nt spell . I don't usually go round calling complete strangers names, but I ended up losing my temper and emailing her back. Had other emails since then from people who are obviously in need of therapy. We just have to accept the good with the bad and laugh at the morons.Saying that,..I've had emails from really nice people too.

I wish I had a dollar for everytime I saw this question posted!

It's totally true. I freakin' hate people like that.

I busted this one boy out (nicely) and he not only reported me, but went to one of my open questions and typed that I was a stupid smart *** wench, etc. WTF???

Some other wench a couple of weeks ago, she asked a stupid question about gay marriage then decided to insult everyone who disagreed with her. You could totally tell that she was a psycho!

People are too touchy and very immature. If you can't handle criticism, then don't post.

I know what you mean. I asked a question and someone emailed me with abuse which had nothing to do with the question.
I guess some people just use answers to vent their spleen as they have no real person to do it to?
Who knows. but it is sad

Let me guess this happen while you were in Religion......lol
I guess some like to fuss. Do like me and don't let people contact you. That is the reason I stopped it. I don't have time to email a million people cause I said Jesus.

This girl did that to me, tons of insults like she knows me. What a freak! Some people just don't have a life.

PS: My email is hidden, they send it thru yahoo. They can't send it directly to my email cuz they don't see it.
