I am on Depo- Previa (injection), and I have not had my period in a long time.

Skipping periods does mean you will start menopause later. When you are on the Depo your periods may stop all together and this is totally normal. My sister is on it and loves not having to deal with a period every month.

The number of eggs you have does not have anything to do with when you will go into menopause. If that was the case we would never hit menopause. Yikes, scary thought.

I have wondered that myself!! I was on Depo for 12 years. One thing that I just found out 6 months ago, which made me stop getting Depo, is that it can cause severe bone loss. I have had a lot of dental problems and didn't connect the two until I heard this. If you want to continue with Depo I would strongly suggest that you ask your doctor to do a bone scan.

These shots, patches and pills fool your body into thinking it is pregnant. Occassionally, you can get pregnant while on them and certainly you can get VD if you are not using a condom.

Personally, I would never assalt my body with this..the guy wears a condom or he doesn't get in.

The answer is no, you will not save anything you are no longer making it because you body thinks it is pregnant.
