If you have a Router you can access your computer by your laptop. Then just copy and paste from your computer to your laptop.

Hi, I had a similar problem and I brought a new external drive for about £80, you can get them cheaper, especially on ebay. Then you can use it to store all your backup data. If the computer crashes then you still have all your data as well. Once you have successfully backed up your data onto the new drive, that can be then plugged into your new system via a USB lead (which came with mine). Then you can just delete all your old data from your drive. Don't forget to delete all temporary files as well.

If you can burn a cd then that would be the least complicated way to do it. If you want to get rid of everything on the pc you need to find a program that formats your hard drive and put 1s and 0s on the drive.

I think there's a way in itunes to save allyour tunes onto either discs (this will take loads), or other media, and then open it up on your new pc. Got to the help section on itunes website.

1st off, I'd use a CD re-writer, and load the things into your laptop, asuming it has enough guts to handle it .... & a Cd ROM drive.
And away you go, but please use goodly earpices to listen on atrain for example, as I often awake coming out of London to find myself asleep in Cambridge.
Way past my local station.
I have an old (me being a tad old), the thing that sends me to sleep with plugs in
Then play weird stuff on my keyboard when I eventually get home.

use your LAN connection.... go to your shared files and shared them between your computer and your laptop is like connecting to a server just that your other computer is serving as the server if you don't understand what I am trying to say just write me back and I will explained to you in more detailed procedures
