I have approx 2000 tunes which i need to tranfer over as well as two other accounts (one for mini pod 2 for shuffel). Also I need to transfer additional work files to the laptop is the best way to save them all to a CD and then put them on?

Further, how would I then go about wiping the PC so that none of our data is stored on it for prying eyes to use.

If you have a Router you can access your computer by your laptop. Then just copy and paste from your computer to your laptop.

Hi, I had a similar problem and I brought a new external drive for about £80, you can get them cheaper, especially on ebay. Then you can use it to store all your backup data. If the computer crashes then you still have all your data as well. Once you have successfully backed up your data onto the new drive, that can be then plugged into your new system via a USB lead (which came with mine). Then you can just delete all your old data from your drive. Don't forget to delete all temporary files as well.

If you can burn a cd then that would be the least complicated way to do it. If you want to get rid of everything on the pc you need to find a program that formats your hard drive and put 1s and 0s on the drive.

I think there's a way in itunes to save allyour tunes onto either discs (this will take loads), or other media, and then open it up on your new pc. Got to the help section on itunes website.
