I remember Burger Chef & Jeff!! lol Used to love the salad bar at Burger Chef; it had lots of fresh ingredients & was way ahead of these other places offering salads. Not sure what went wrong; I suspect they couldn't keep up with McDonalds & BK - seems the chain slowly went out where I live, until there were no more operating franchises.

i loved burger chef when i was little. i liked "the works" bar where i could put on as many pickles as i wanted. grampa always took us there and we would get the cool happy meals-it was kind of a flat box that opened up. oh well, not explaining it too well
i agree, i think they just couldn't keep up with the big three burger joints
