I am not Conservative or Liberal but all the Republicans I know do not think the earth is only a few thousand years old. I mean c'mon! Only an idiot would think that. I do think that the earth has a **** load of oil from all the life that died before us humans. We are not running out any time soon. We should really use less though for the atmosphere.

First, the least intelligent thing a person can do is put words in others' mouths, like you are doing with putting words in our mouths. This is a debate tactic of using a falsehood to paint your opponents as less intelligent. It might fool the 'true believers' and other children, but it is a distasteful tactic because it is entirely dishonest.
I do NOT believe the world is less than 10,000 years old, and neither do most conservatives. This timing is based on a very literal interpretation of the Bible that is believed by only a small portion of the devout.
As for oil resources, there are many estimates out there. But the best estimates conclude that there is still at least several hundred years worth available, at current usage levels.
The current best estimates is that there is roughly 1.3 to 1.5 trillion barrels of total oil resources in the world. The current level of annual production is about 30 billion barrels. Even at increasing usage levels, that still is several hundred years' worth of energy.
However, the chances are that in those years, other energy sources will be found to supplant and replace oil.
So, instead of using falsehoods, attacks and disparagement, why don't you try using facts? It might make you sound like an informed and intelligent adult, rather than some grade-school smartass.

So full of falsities... you may as well be Pamela Anderson
1) Not all conservatives believe the world is the age mentioned in the bible. Only extreme bible thumpers. Most of us know very damn well that the Earth and the universe is billions of years old.
2) Nobody says there is "plenty" of oil. In terms of the short term, YES there is a lot of oil left and a lot left to be discovered. But it IS a limited resource and it will be exhausted if used unchecked.
I wonder how many other fallacious views cloud your perception

Well, there are several views that cloud our perception.
In 1975 liberals warned us we only had 25 years of oil left if we tapped all the known reserves and found a few more.
Another is that oil in the earth has been produced over millions of years not thousands and there is emerging evidence it is still being produced.
I don't know any conservatives who believe the world is less than 10,000 years old, but I know a lot of liberals who swallow Darwin.
When oil drys up as you so kindly warn us, where are you going to get your next iPOD from?

Yet another Generalization. Just because you talked to a few Conservatives that said the world is only 10000 years old does not mean that all of us think that.
Seriously, ask a question the right way. How about "Why do some conservatives believe that Oil is not a limited resource?"
That would be respectable and I could answer it. But the one you did ask is biased. You have already shown that you are prejudice against all conservatives based on your limited exposure to them and any answer I give will only be met with scrutiny and disdane.

it rather is termed a limited source with the aid of fact the aspects are what there is ...while it ultimately runs accessible will be not extra,it can not be created ;in spite of the fact that, no person rather is conscious how lots is accessible as seen this previous week while a deposit replaced into placed interior the gulf of mexico believed to be as great as all the middle east aspects. I actual have not seen any examples of conservatives denying that it rather is limited and as pronounced no person is conscious while height production would be reached or while it rather is going to run out. while it does run out it won't impression the U. S. anymore than the different us of a in actuality probable much less as there is a lot progression being made in option fuels like biodiesel and ethanol that are renewable and lots cleanser burning . the U. S. might in actuality be strenthened with the help of being poised on the leading edge of those new gasoline industries.

What is with the prejudiced comments about conservatives and oil?
I have nothing to do with oil or the oil industry.
I am just as pissed off about paying $3.00 a gallon for gas as the next guy.
I'd also like to see some evidence to back up what you're saying about these things. Sounds to me you have a clouded view of things as they are - lumping SOME conservatives in a whole group. That isn't fair.

Well, first of all...you have got to broaden your mind and let go of stereotypes.
I am conservative, and I know many other concervatives, and we don't view the world being less than 10,000 years old.
Also, as a conservative, I do not deny oil as a limited resource. In fact I know that it is.
My question to you is, why do you seem to be cloudy to the idea of what exactly a concervative is? There are conservative democrates, republicans, liberals, etc.
Do you know what 'conservative' I am?

Oil will go down in history as did the horse and buggy. Some people believe the earth is always peculating oil. Hydrocarbons! Water and carbon and water is abundant, the heat from the core perks it all the time!
As we move toward other energy sources, oil will become less important.

No conservative I know believes the world is only 10,000 years old and every conservative I know believes that oil is a limited resources.
But since I don't know every conservative and I'm open to new ideas please post some links to back up your assertions. I did a web search and came up with nothing that supports either of your presumptions. Thanks.
