Yes it is called Jacking Off, as to start a game of Green Bowls, you roll a little ball (the Jack) down the green, then you take it in turns to roll the bigger balls (Bowls) towards it, and the player (once all bowls have been rolled) with the closest bowls gets a point for each of their bowls that's closest to the jack.
