I smoke so my 6 yr old cousin asked why, so I said it's coz I'm silly, to which she replied well why don't you stop being silly. The simplicity of kids left me lost for words has a kid ever done this to you?

Oh yeah my nephew does it to me all the time...we were in a plane and he wanted to go play in the snow (clouds) I told him he couldnt he asked why and the guy sitting next to me said because you would fall right through and those are clouds not snow...he looked at me and said you lied to me???

Yes! My son when he was younger asked me why I smoked and I told him because I'm stupid. He pretty much said basicly what your cousin said. I replied, "Sometimes big people do stupid things and I don't want you to do stupid stuff either." (Or something along those lines) he shrugged and said, "I don't want you to be stupid mama". About a month later....I quit. It's been three years now since I've inhaled on the 'stick'.

I'm a mom, and its happened to me many times. I'm always impressed with the logic of simplicity that young children possess.

Oh hell yeah. My daughter & I were out with my mom & mom was teasing her..finally she said "Nana you're silly." Well Nana retorted & said " Well if I'm silly sweetie what's your mom?"...the reply was very grounding..."She's fat."
