The O2 deal mentioned above- their online Sim card gives you 300 free UK texts if you top up £10 a month.

Then you can buy an International Talk and Text bolt on for £5- it's a one off payment and from then on you get 10p international texts (not included in free allowance) and quite reasonable rates to ring abroad as well. I call America a lot, and it works out the same price as ringing the UK.

I hardly spend any money at all on my mobile, with that PAYG tariff and the Intl Bolt On I'm well sorted.

I know o2 has some good deals, when I was with them I was on 600 mins and unlimited text for £20 a month, but after things that happened, i didn;t like o2 anymore, and I'm now on contract with Orange :)

Buy an 02 sim card from ebay , 300 free texts a month but u have to top up £10 monthly , same date each month .. still good value

Moblie world from Carphone warehouse,that network is for cheap international calling and texting,I pay 15p for mine,but it may be less depending on where you are texting

I second the tescos option. it uses the o2 network and only costs me 5p to send texts to friends in poland and germany .

Sounds sad but Tesco mobile - I pay 5p per txt and 10p per minute any number any time!! Its great!!

Call OneTel and ask them what about their dial-around feature.

It's a number which you use to route your calls through them irrespective of your cell 'phone service provider.
