Any time someone from the Peanuts gang would chat with a teacher or other adult, the response always sounded like "Mwahmwahmwah, wah wah mwah." This always weirded me out a little.

Because when adults talk, all kids hear is whah whah whah whah. Charlie Brown is a kid's world and anything the grown-ups have to isn't really relevant to them. Just think, when you were a kid, how much did you really listen to what your parents said. When my mom would talk to me, all I heard was blah blah blah blah so it always made sense to me the the adults in Charlie Brown would talk that way.

Because Peanuts was for kids and that is how kids hear the adults. They don't pay enough attention to adults and in real life adults speak like blah blah blah. Charles Shultz got it right to the t. Thats why the mwah mwah mwah. And who really cared what the adults were saying?

The focus was on the Peanuts gang including Snoopy. The adults were considered as minor characters.

Really it was b/c they couldn't afford to pay full scale wages to adult voice actors who simply made more. They had to make the cartoons on the cheap so they got the idea of the sound effect & used all child voice actors, saving themselves a boat-load of cash in production.

I guess it's to focus more on the kids. You never see the adults either, right? Remember Muppet Babies and all you saw was that woman's skirt and shoes? But I always thought it sounded funny too.

Because it's not about adults.

After all, when adults mwahmwah to children the mwah mwahmwah usually only mwahmwahmwah anyway. So, why not mwahmwah mwah mwahmwah mwahmwahmwahmwah? Mwah mwahmwah mwah mwahmwah mwahmwah mwah! Mwahmwah mwah mwah mwahmwah...
