It has little to do with war and everything to do with market forces. More demand, higher prices, more supplies lower prices. You guys really have to get over this war for oil thing. It has a temporary destabilizing effect on the market that is all.

When they curtailed many airplane flights as a result of the recent event in London, planes didn't need as much oil/gas/petrol which meant supplies went up. Study economics rather than politics.

Petrol is currently cheap due to the cessation of hostilities between hezbollah and israel.ANY indication of war in the middle east will push prices up probably due to panic anxiety of the OPEC countries fearing for their own safety and survival.

The west will never let go of it's hold on the oil rich gulf region.Forget the human rights and all the rest.

no, in the time of international conflict 2 the U. S. electorate have been greater keen to "help the conflict attempt". i do no longer see the present inhabitants to do such an action the media additionally has a tremendous area in this, there are 2 aspects on the media in this. the 1st area is that there are various strikes finished in conflict that could desire to be stored on the battlefield. particular issues should not be broadcast into the front room of bleeding hearts. yet another area the media performs is the medias yearning to discover corruption. The media digs and claws until eventually they detect a corruption tale devoid of any theory in how this could injury our troops. militia could smart i think of we are able with our technologies to hold our own in a tremendous conflict. yet like many countries who've failed in wars we will not enable ourselves to have too many fronts.

You can bet your bottom dollar, excuse the pun, I"m not American, that as soon as oil prices drop and profits start to suffer, pressure from the powers that be,i.e. the oil barons, will be put on the US Administration to stir things up again so oil prices can be put up. The same scenario occurs in the armament industry, how can they sell their multi-million pound weapons if there is no war?

you might want top also notice that while we have suffered extremely high petrol prices this year, the oil industry has enjoyed its biggest profits ever! they use the situations in the midle east as an excuse because production might go down, but it never does and they just make more money. basta*ds

Cor!! There's no fooling you is there? No pulling the wool over your eyes?

Where have you been for the last 20 years?? Have you not heard of the constant criticism of America that they only go to war to make sure they still get their oil (petrol!!) supplies??

There must be a place for a man like you with his 'finger-on-the-pulse'... fuc*ked if I know where it would be, but there must be somewhere....

War for oil...i don't see where it helped.
I think that saying started durring desert storm because we wanted Kuwait to pay the price of war with oil.
I don't think we broke even.
Have we taken over any oil wells in iraq?
If so why did the hurricanes hurt us so bad?
Really...everyone says it's war for oil,but when you get down to the nuts and bolts and look at the price of gas....I dunno, what do you think?
