that's a very good question. i know one reason is when we notice the shortcomings of others, our own shortcomings aren't noticed . a finger pointed at others, is not calling attention to us. many people also use the excuse that this is what they learned growing up. no matter what we were taught when young, once we are adults, we are suppose to think for ourselves. once a person has a closed mind, it is very hard to teach them anything. some people feel they are born already knowing everything, and they can't be told anything. also many people have no compassion for others. this is so sad. if we get to know others, we will enrich our own lives so much.all we can do, is be responsible for our own actions, and hope others will follow our example.

I don't know why, or that we have become more racist. I guess, with so many events that have occurred during our generation, some tend to focus on what or who caused the disaster. Which could be a natural disaster OR people of a certain race. I think that because of this, some of us become hateful towards certain races. But that's just my opinion.

No.... Racism has been an issue since the dawn of time....
You are noticing it more now because racists are able to spout their hatred in public forums much more easily now with the internet....

Its easier to hate and avoid and run away from things we don't understand are different or are scary to us in some way shape or form than to try to find a common ground, some understanding, or rationale.

some people just hate anything that is different to what they are. So whether it be race or religion or culture or sex... there is just hate. I think it stems from insecurities in the people themselves

Please do not include me in your racist remark. I treat everyone without a reference to color or heritage. Many people are racist because they want someone to blame for the worlds problems. Its easier to have an excuse if you have a person to pin it on.
