You should wait until two weeks after you suspect conception actually ocurred.. By this point, implantation would have occured and HCG will be detectable in your blood stream. This is a much more reliable test for pregnancy, and HCG is detectable much earlier.

Yes, a medical pregnancy blood test can detect if you are pregnant earlier then a urine test.
I think that a blood test can be done about 1 week after ovulation...
It is more accurate then a urine test when done this early.

I personally took a home pregnancy test way before missing my period & it was accurate. I was pregnant...
This was about 20 yrs ago...
Like most things, I would think home pregnancy tests are now "new & improved" too. Why not give it a shot?

A blood test can detect pregnancy early and more accurately. My Sis in law did her blood test on the 35th day and confirmed her pregnancy. So go ahead and take the test. Wishing you all the luck!

Yes, but not by much. It's recommended to wait until you've at least missed a period before having any kind of test, because some women don't produce enough of the hCG hormone to be detected earlier.

This USED to be the case, but with advancements in home pregnancy tests in determing the presence of HCG, the hormone found in pregnant women, this really is not so much the case now and even so, the blood test is not nearly as advanced as it used to be. Several manufacturers, including EPT are now marketing messages such as "Answer as soon as your first missed day."

Blood tests are usually more sensitive to the hormone which signals pregnancy than the at home urine tests.
