I'm properly fed up of wearing big bovver boots... I can't wear anything nice to work, just trousers. Is there anywhere that sells nicer, more feminine safety shoes?

ARCO do a fantastic range of socially acceptable safety shoes from trainers to cowboy boots.
I think they're available online
Check out their website.

Depends where you are. If you are in London go to Camden Town, there's a shop called The British Boot Company next to the tube station. They sell all sorts of safety boots/shoes and some of them are actually quite feminine.

I don't think you will find any that are exciting, I used to order them for students at one time, and they moaned blind about them, but nowadays, you can buy steel toe cap trainers, and the lads boots and shoes are quite nice. I have found a pair at the following address, their not gorgeous, but their ok, after all they are called safety boots and shoes for a reason.

As loads of people have said before... arco. I settled with some knee high, tailored doc martins. Look ok with skirt suits.

But thank you so much for asking this question, I have exactly the same problem.
It would be lovely to retain a small bit of femininity whilst on building sites!!

Thank you darling, good luck. x x x
