Rumoured release date 13.07.06. (in the UK)

Next HP book (number 7 as yet untitled) is rumoured to be released on 07.07.07 - though where they get this from I don't know most recent J.K. Rowling interviews state she isn't even half way with the book yet.
SO VERY VERY VERY EXCITED - CAN'T WAIT FOR THE FINAL BOOK!!!!!
Fingers crossed that Hermione is not the one killed, my daughter will be devastated!

No offense, but who cares. Of the 870 pages in the book, they're gonna screw things up like IV and use about a hundred of them for plot direction and screenplay. You're going to find yourself sitting through this one going, "But what about ____ or about ____ and where's _____ and what happened to ____?" I think they should realise by now that yes fans would very much be willing to sit through a longer than average two hour movie, even a much longer than average to see what they saw in their mind's eye as they read the book. I mean i could see leaving the whole S.P.E.W. thing out of IV as acceptable, but completely changing the first few chapters?!?!? I will at least give Peter Jackson that credit for LOTR Trilogy. Things in the movies were just like I had imagined them to be when I read the books 20 some odd years ago.
oh, to answer your question though, hoped for release sometime around July 2007. If they think they can't compete with the summer market season, they'll try the Thanksgiving/Christmas season.
