I would look for the closest appliance store. You can find them in your local Yellow Pages or newspaper ads. Best advice is to watch for the sales in the newspaper and make sure they deliver to your area.

Seriously, Manhattan has Best Buy, Circuit City, P.C. Richard, Home Depot, various independent stores. I'm sure the other 1.5 million Manhattanites didn't have trouble finding appliances.

I would suggest New York...buying from California or Alaska will cost a fortune in shipping....and don't even get me started on Brazil & Russia.
