WITHOUT ANY DOUBTS YOU CAN TAKE UR HANDY CAM INTO THE MONUMENT, BUT THERE ARE RESTRICTIONS ON FILMING THE GRAVE AT THE BOTTOM.

Yes, it is. However, there is an extra cost that you have to pay. When I went a few years ago, it was about 600 Rupees, but it might have changed since then. You can film the Taj Mahal itself, but to film the graves, you need a special permit from the government. Have fun!

A still camera is off course allowed inside it. For indian nationals free of cost
for foreign tourists Rs.500 or 750/-
No movie cam allowed.
Ya u can take a digicam with movie facility, thats what I did.

Yes you can take your handycam's inside Taj Mahal but you can capture only the outside of the building you cant take it inside to capture the graveyard of the couple...i just visited it two weeks back...HAVE A WONDERFUL TRIP!!

can't taks shots of Grave & inside area but can take shots of Exteriors , Firang PPL are charged for Cameras as well

The persons said "Yes" are correct, but cannot be used at the "SAMADHI" area. Its chargeable also.
