so i guess working for halliburton outside of the U.S (no income taxes requiredso non of the money goes to defence dept.) is not as bad as working for starbucks in the U.S!!!!!!

Well sometimes I think fantasize infiltrating this type of system and exposing it. A job like that might let one see what they are really doing. So I would consider that although it might be deadly to do so.

Not to sound "self righteous" as some would say, this one actually is a pretty easy no. First, although this situation is completely hypothetical, I would never get that desperate that I would resort to losing one of the few morals I have left. I think you can always find work if the end all is just paying the bills. I can wait tables, I can walk dogs (and please don't anyone take that the wrong way, I'm not dissing waitresses or dog walkers, they're just examples)

All of the people who have so righteously answered "no", Halliburton pursued me and I always said NO, are lying. Every single one of them would take the job. If it were the difference between starving to death and remaining true to yourself, even a vegan would eat meat. They'd never consciously admit it tho... Hypocrites that they are.

No. Definitely not. There is something more important than money, and that is conscious. One has to be able to look into the mirror and say: "I resisted Satan!" If you cannot find a job within a year, then you are either not trying or not worth to have a job. EVERYONE willing to work can find work.

I'm not qualified to take a job in engineering. But then, apparently, neither is Halliburton!

That would be a tough call for someone on the verge of bankruptcy! I guess they would justify it by telling themselves they might change things from with in

No, I wouldn't take it.

I ran my own software firm, and Halliburton pursued us heavily for business. We declined to do business with them or any of their subcontractors, as that is blood money and unfair business practices all wrapped in one.

No,I would rather sell myself on the street , then work for them. There are still a few people in this world who would still take death before dishonor.
