And what about a regular ultrasound? Or is that too early?

In most cases, a pregnancy will not be detected by ultrasound until around the fifth week, when the gestational sac usually becomes visible. Even then, it is usually only seen on vaginal ultrasound.

For a vaginal ultrasound maybe to early maybe not. An external ultrasound would not work at the 3 week stage. I would be careful even with an internal one though. I had one of these before they could find the baby and was told I was having a misscarige.... Shes 7 years old now.

they would probally have to use a vaginal ultrasound because the baby and sac are really small, they will try the regular one but most likely use the vaginal one
